pyDS1267 is an utility (part of a student's project 2004) written in Python (Pythonacrd GUI) which can control an electronic card using the numerical potentiometer DS1267 (Maxim-Dallas) through the parallel port (LPTx). A serial Peripheral interface (SPI) is generated with some data lines from LPTx. This example will allow you to test any electronic circuit with a SPI interface: for instance a PLL to measure the transient time with a frequency variation order . On this card (see schematics.pdf below), you can control the amplification (1 to 22) of a non-inverting amplifier.
